Gosh, I was exhilarated just reading this post. I caught the rush of endorphins from running through your writing and what you and your daughter went though. Wow 29 miles! At 12 years old and Wesley even younger achieving 20! Goodness me! Ok, I”ll level with you I”ve never run a race in my life. I was a library monitor to avoid the wind and cold and did Latin to avoid cross country at school ( it was the thought of having to shower naked in front to the other girls that terrified me I had no problem coming in last) . Love walking but the most I”ve ever done is 14/15 miles stat and that crippled me for days. Your raising athletes Zoot! It brings tears to my eyes they way you support and cherish your children. They are loved.
