Dreaming of A Full Moon | Moon Dream Meaning

Have you been dreaming of a full moon? My dreamer today is Edward from Dallas, Texas, and he has sent me an incredible, spiritual dream that is laden with symbology.

I saw 2 full moons, and one was larger than the other. I then saw a very bright star from the west. In the background, it looked like a battle was happening. Then, a rainbow appeared for a second. It came out in the night sky and then vanished.”

He also mentions a string of stars, “aligned like a string of Christmas lights. Like a backward C across the sky.” I have blogged about a Star Dream Meaning and The Meaning of Stars in Your Dream before, so make sure you check out the post.

Remember, that only you can truly interpret your dreams, so once you have a read through what these symbols might mean, make sure you meditate further on the deeper meaning for you. You might uncover something else. You can also ask for guidance before falling asleep each night – ask for more understanding of what these symbols mean and you might discover more.

Let’s have a look at what these symbols mean, starting with dreaming of a full moon, then moving on to your other symbols.

Dreaming of a Full Moon & other dream symbols

Two full moons: Full moons symbolise spiritual wholeness and completeness, and may indicate a hidden part of yourself.  This may be a part of you that is hidden, deep and yet to emerge into your consciousness. This is part of yourself that is a mystery but is who you really are, a part of you that is whole and complete.

Seeing two moons is an interesting symbol. The symbol “2” means intuition, partnership and mother energy. Moons are also feminine symbols. We all have feminine and masculine energies within us, or this might symbolise someone you are close to who represents an important feminine energy in your life.

A bright star from the west: The direction of west means fulfillment, opportunities, and growth, and stars likewise symbolise excellence, success, aspirations and high ideals. To see a west star is very auspicious – this may mean your highest aspirations in a more material or worldly sense.

An intergalactic battle: This is happening every day from within all of us. Every day we weigh up our material and our spiritual needs; we weigh up what is known and what remains mysterious. Battles mean conflict, they symbolise things that are unresolved. Perhaps this dream is showing you aspects of your very nature that you need to reconcile; the moon within (with its 2 aspects) representing the mysterious spiritual and the star from the west, symbolising your desire for opportunities and growth in a material sense.

What have you been battling in your waking life? What parts of you are at conflict? What do you think of as you lie awake, trying to get to sleep? This is a beautiful, spiritual dream, and one that represents deep parts of yourself, and the themes that are at play in your current life.

Your rainbow: And then to end the battle of these lunar and stellar bodies, we find a rainbow, which is again an earthly symbol that means good fortune, good luck, success and hope. I think this means that you are feeling positive about how things are playing out in your life, and you do anticipate good things in your future. Have a look at my post What do rainbows symbolise?

A rainbow can be seen as a bridge between your earthly, grounded self and the higher, spiritual self. I think this is at the crux of what this whole dream is about. To see a string of stars, might be a symbol that all these aspects of yourself are connected – there is a string of spiritual events occurring for you, a progression. All these parts are connected to each other.

Many dreams have spiritual meanings

We are, after all, spiritual beings first and human beings second. I love the expression, “I am a spiritual being having a human experience, not a human being having a spiritual experience.” Whether you believe in greater things or not, the truth is that we come into this lifetime with a wealth of experience and a series of spiritual needs that we are here to realise.

Edward from Texas, this is a gorgeous dream. It shows that you are a deep person, who feels and thinks deeply about things. Spend more time documenting your dreams, as you have done here, and delve deeply into who you really are, and what you really want, from both a spiritual and material perspective. Thank you so much for taking time to interpret my dream. Its one thing to “Google” what I remember, but another to have someone like you take my dream and make it relatable and easier to understand. You made my dream more meaningful and that much more special than what it was before.

    Thank you again Alyce!

I had a dream about the moon last night, but I can’t find any interpretations online to make sense of it.

If you were to hold a peach in your hand, up toward the sky, the moon was THAT huge. It was full and silver and had a ring around it. I wished I’d had a camera. When I finally got one, the moon was small (realistic size). It was still full, but there was no ring around it. I was in a great deal of pain in the dream. I was also constantly afraid of intruders.. like strange males wandering over to where I was. I was also concerned about ticks. When the moon was large, I remember secretly hoping it was headed toward Earth, about to destroy some portion of it.

Im having an upside/down cross in my dream for a while. I don’t recall much but I remember dreaming of having a tattoo of it on my left hand. And last night I dream about it again. Me and my damily was riding on a car. there was this shining full moon. Then it multiplies to 10 -15 moon and changes its color to red and formed an anchor. after that, it changed to an upside/down cross. I was so scared because it symbolizes evil right? and then, slowly it formed a tree. Then the other moon disappear and only one remain and goes back to its original color. I look closely inside the circle of the moon and realized that it there was a tree of life.

All this time i was looking at the left side of the sky then someone said “that is not the moon, look at your righ side”. I look and found a moon, but its not that shining and bqrilliant and mysterious like the other one.
